Black Star and the Black Women’s Player Collective are teaming up with Allstate to launch the first-ever national showcase for top-ranked Black female players. The Allstate Next Wave National Showcase lands at HBCU Prairie View A&M from Nov. 22–25, bringing 20–30 elite high school talents together with college and pro scouts to build real pathways to the next level. This is a culture-forward stage for identification, access, and opportunity.

Miami FC is leveling up. The club unveiled plans to anchor the new Sports Performance Hub in Homestead, a $300 million, 80-acre complex with a 15,000-seat soccer stadium, pro academy, youth boarding school, public sports facilities, and a sports-themed hotel—built at no cost to taxpayers.

In Dela Acolatse’s piece, founder Omri Gal traces the journey from a small after-school idea to collaborations with EA Sports, New Balance, and Bay FC, giving kids space to design from lived experience rather than templates.

Nike and EA Sports team up for special edition Phantom 6 pack

Nike and EA Sports linked up on a special Phantom 6 pack that lives both in-game and on grass. Two editions drop: a high-cut black and a low-cut white, wrapped in glitchy, holographic skin with fractured Swooshes and a rainbow multiknit vibe that nods to the gaming world. Under the hood it’s still all control with Gripknit up top and the Cyclone 360 plate underneath. The pack lands September 29 to line up with the FC26 launch.

Nike’s Toma El Juego train pulled into Mexico City for its Latin American debut, taking over the Anahuacalli Museum with a 3v3 street tournament and a full cultural buildout. Twelve mixed teams ran group play and knockouts as Ronaldinho, Jorge Campos, and current Mexico stars Alexis Vega, Diego Reyes, and Erik Lira pulled up, with El Malilla and Cachirula on the music and a night market featuring local creatives like Paisa Boys. Nike framed CDMX as the starting point for a wider push across the region, with Peru and Chile next, and Brazil, Argentina, and Colombia slated for 2026.
