New Stone Island, Black Star Collabs, and a Hall of Famer
Your Weekly Digest of Soccer, Style, and Culture Across the CONCACAF Region

Welcome to Edition 62 of The Forty-One Life. This week, we tapped in with USMNT legend Tony Sanneh to reflect on his Hall of Fame induction and the impact he continues to make far beyond the pitch. Dead Dirt is still applying pressure, teaming up with Black Star on a collab that gives back to the program’s mission. New Balance and Stone Island return with another sharp capsule and a fresh boot drop. We also have updates on Hurricane Melissa relief efforts, a full slate of November events, and more from across the region.

THE BEAUTIFUL GAME // FEATURED
A Hall Of Famer on and off the pitch: Tony Sanneh is just getting started

We sat down with U.S. Soccer Hall of Famer Tony Sanneh to talk about his path from St. Paul to the World Cup to leading one of Minnesota’s most impactful community organizations.
STYLE
Dead Dirt continues its soccer run with new capsule collection with Black Star

Black Star has partnered with Dead Dirt (creative director Domo Wells) to launch the “Growing the Game” capsule collection, three limited pieces (rugby jersey, tote, tee) that merge Black soccer culture, streetwear and style. Proceeds from the drop helps support Black youth in the sport by making soccer feel accessible and reflective of community identity. It ties into Black Star’s national showcase for Black female players, and it’s available now online.
MORE STYLE
Black Players for Change (BPC) and Vans are partnering to launch the BPC x Vans collaboration, featuring Vans’ classic Era silhouette in two limited edition colorways. Proceeds from the collection will directly benefit BPC programs that expand access and opportunity within soccer.
BOOTS
New Balance and Stone Island are back with a fresh take on the Furon v8

The New Balance × Stone Island drop re-boots the Furon V8 with high-performance construction and streetwear credentials. The olive-toned boot features a bonded Hypoknit upper, rip-stop texture, rust-mirror metallic outsole and reflective yarns, every element is honed for both function and style.
COMMUNITY
$2000 raised for Jamaica and Haiti Hurricane Relief

On a night where Curaçao became the smallest nation to ever reach the World Cup and Haiti punched its ticket for the first time in 50 years, the ATL community showed up. You came out as one family to watch the matches, support Jamaica and Haiti, and bring real help to those hit hard by the storm.
Together, we raised $2,000 and collected hundreds of pounds of food and supplies. The funds and supplies will be split between ATL 4 Haiti and the American Friends of Jamaica to support ongoing relief efforts.
The work doesn’t stop here. If you want to continue giving, you can donate through the options listed below.
